Frankenmuth, Michigan is the third largest tourist attraction in the state. We were delighted to be asked to re-brand the world famous Bavarian Inn, which serves well over half a million chicken dinners a year. We referenced old German children's books for graphic inspiration, and of course, the restaurant's famous glockenspiel took center stage. The goal in an illustrative logo such as this is to include just enough visual detail to communicate the uniqueness of the clock and Bavarian architecture without becoming so fussy that the logo won't hold up at a small size.
